FAMILY GROUP, Geelong And Western District Agricultural And Horticultural Society, (Victoria, Australia), struck in silver (41.5mm), by Pinches, London, reverse inscribed 'Prize/To/D McLean Esq./for/Sowing Machine/Septr. 1861'; Timaru Agricultural & Pastoral Association, struck in silver (44.5mm), by W.J.Taylor, London, reverse inscribed 'Neil McLean./1st Prize/Best Roadster/1871.'; New Zealand International Exhibition, (Christchurch), 1882, struck in bronze (64mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'Mrs Donald McLean.' (M.1882/23). The last two with edge nicks, all with hairlines or surface marks, otherwise fine - very fine. (3)

Family group of medals awarded as follows;^1861 Show - Implements Class No.97 - Broadcast sowing machine, silver 1st prize medal to Donald McLean, Dunedin.^^1871 Show - 6th Class for best roadster or hack of any age, mare or gelding - 1 entry Neil McLean - First prize awarded.^^1882 Exhibition - Bronze medal to Mrs D.McLean, Strathcowan, knitted woollen shawl.^^Together with newspaper clippings and also a 2-page handwritten letter penned by Allan Sutherland 8 May 1953.
