QUEEN'S SOUTH AFRICA MEDAL 1899, (type 3 reverse), - six clasps - Cape Colony, Tugela Heights, Orange Free State, Relief of Ladysmith, Laing's Nek, Belfast. 989 Tpr: E.Brophy. S.A. Lt Horse. Impressed; also United Fire Brigades Association of N Z, Long Service Medal for five years service, in silver (39mm), by A.T. (Anton Teutenberg, Auckland), with 2 Years Service bar, suspender inscribed 'Napier V./F. Brigade', with brooch buckle bar (missing pin), reverse inscribed 'Foreman/Edward Brophy/By The/Napier/Fire Brigade/Mar.6. 1891' (D&C.L3; O&D.115). Nicely toned, the second medal with some small edge nicks, otherwise good very fine.
