(Kaitangata Rifle Volunteers), fob medal, hand engraved in gold (9ct, 4.8g, 31mm), by A.Stoneham (Dunedin), reverse inscribed '2nd Prize/Ladies/Challenge Shield/1910/Sergt.J.Smith'; N.Z.F.U., 1911, fob medal, struck uniface in gold (probably 9ct, 10.0g, 26mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'N.Z.F.U./Rifle Competition/won by/James Smith/Kaitangata Branch'; another, as last, 1912, in gold (probably 9ct, 9.2g, 26mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'N.Z.F.U./Rifle Competition/Kaitangata Branch/J.Smith'; another fob medal, handcrafted in gold (9ct, 5.4g, 40x35mm), by 'W', reverse inscribed 'South Otago/Rifle Championship/1920'.
