The first and second medals unamed, Hon. Capt.C.H.Hoskin.Canterbury Rgt. on the third medal, Hon.Lt.C.H.Hoskin,Cantby. Rgt. on the fourth medal, Hon.Lt.C.H.Hoskin,Canty.Rgt. on the fifth medal, Hon.Lt.C.H.Hoskin,Cantby.Rgt. on the sixth medal. The third medal engraved, the fourth, fifth and sixth medals impressed. Extremely fine.
Together with:^Fob medal, handcrafted in gold (probably 9ct, tot wt 10.2g, drop 35x32mm), possibly by Frank Grady, Wellington or Frank Hyams, Dunedin, ring top, ribbon and bar with pin-back, obverse inscribed 'Bugle Contest/Presented By/Chas. Begg & Co.', reverse inscribed 'Military/Tournament/Dunedin/26-12-98/Bugler Hoskin/K.R.V./First'; silver plaque (75x28mm), attached to wooden base (128x48mm) and inscribed 'Presented To/Mr Cecil Hoskin/By His Fellow Employees/On the Occasion of His Marriage/Kaiapoi Wollen Mills/Feby. 27th 1900'; Masonic jewel, Southern Cross No.6 in gold (9ct, tot wt 27.0g, drop 50x38mm), reverse inscribed 'Presented to Bro.C.H.Hoskin/By Brethren of Lodge Southern Cross No.6 to Mark their Esteem & Appreciation/Of His Services as Organist During Ten Years/1903 to 1913'; C.P.B.A., Hon Life Member's badge, handcrafted in gold (9ct, 6.5g, 32mm), no maker, pin-back, reverse inscribed 'C.H.Hoskin/4-8-51'; National Brass Band Club, Hon Life Member's badge in gilt and enamel (23x20mm); 1st Cant.Band, Life Member's badge in gilt and enamel (22mm); D.S.A., union pin; silver Masonic set square fob (32x30mm) and a Bishop's mitre badge in copper (35x25mm).^^With research.
