SOUTHBRIDGE, handcrafted star in gold (9ct; 4.08g; 23mm), no maker, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'N.Z.E.F./34th/Reinforcement', reverse inscribed 'Pvt/C.Everest/Southbridge/1918'. Some scratch marks on obverse, otherwise very fine.

68640 Pte Charles Everest, 34th Reinforcements, Auckland Infantry Regiment, A Company, NZEF, embarked from New Zealand 8 February 1918. Next of Kin was Mrs E.M.Everest (mother), Southbridge, Canterbury.
