THE MASTERS LODGE NO 161, Founder 1909 jewel, struck in gold (9ct, 19.92g, 37.5x58mm), no maker, stick-pin suspension, reverse inscribed with stylised initials, 'CG' and some other unrecognised device. Nearly uncirculated.

The consecration and foundation of The Masters Lodge No 161 was held at the Masonic hall, Moray Place, Dunedin on 20 January 1909 and the officers for the ensuing year were elected. The ceremony was presided over by the M.W. Grand Master, Lord Plunket. In 1959 the lodge became The Research Lodge of Otago No 161.
