HIGHLAND DANCING, fob medal handcrafted in gold (9ct, 6.23g, 26x35.5mm), by AC Co, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'OJA', reverse inscribed 'O.Anderson./1st./Sheauntriubhas/Under 12./18.4.27.' Good very fine.

The 23rd Annual Highland Gathering and Sports was held on the Show Grounds at Palmerston North on Easter Monday April 18, 1927 starting at 11am. In the pipe music and dancing section, the 11th event was Sheauntriubhas (Girls under 12) with the gold medal presented by Mr D.B.McEwen - winner was Olive Anderson.
