N.Z. RYS. (New Zealand Railways), Free Pass, c1880s, handcrafted in gold (probably 15ct, 6.07g, 24x29.5mm), no maker, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'Wallace', reverse inscribed 'Member of Parliament'. Fine and rare.

Wallace electorate was in the rural part of Southland. The first election was held in 1859. It was a single member electorate until it was dissolved in 1996.
