CPIT (CHRISTCHURCH POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY) CENTENARY, 1906-2006, struck in oxidised bright bronze (50mm), no maker, reverse legend 'CTC.CTHS.CTI.CP.CPIT' (M&P.2006/7). Uncirculated.

The initials on the reverse of the medal represent the organisations associated with the evolvement of CPIT since its beginning in 1906. They are (CTC) Christchurch Technical College; (CTHS) Christchurch Technical High School; (CTI) Christchurch Technical Institute; (CP) Christchurch Polytechnic; and finally (CPIT) Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology. Later, in 2015 CPIT merged with Aoraki Polytechnic to become Ara Institute of Canterbury.
