SHCS (ST HILDA COLLEGIATE SCHOOL), dux medal, uniface, struck and hand engraved in silver (32.5x36.5mm), hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 by maker, J.F (James Fenton & Co, Birmingham), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Dux/Lower School/V.Sewhoy (sic)/1905'. Good very fine.

Violet Sew Hoy was awarded the silver medal, Messrs Lilly's prize, as dux of the Lower School. Violet was also qualifying at the Trinity College of Music and she provided musical assistance to Chinese students at the Methodist Central Mission Chinese Class.
