SBC (SYDENHAM BOWLING CLUB), medal in silver (31mm), no maker, scroll and ring top suspension with ribbon, reverse inscribed 'Won By/A.V.B.Bishop/1890-91'; N.Z.B.A (New Zealand Bowling Association), fob medal, hand engraved in voided gold (15ct, 6.15g, 26x30mm), maker's initials blurred, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'R.Struthers'/Prize/Rinks/won by/A.V.B.Bishop', reverse inscribed 'N.Z.B.A/Canterbury/Jubilee/Tournament/January/1901.'; also ANZAC & C.D.C. (Citizens Defence Committee) No.4 Queen, fund raising medal at Canterbury Queen Election Contest in 1916, struck uniface in gilt (24mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'A.V.B.Bishop/1916'. Fine - very fine. (3)

The Canterbury Queen Election Contest was a fund raising contest for the war effort. Mr A.V.B.Bishop donated 20 pounds to the No.4 Soldiers fund (Mrs G.E.Rhodes of the No.4 fund came 9th in the contest).
