(NZ Amateur Athletics Association), CCC (Cross Country Championship), medal struck uniface in bronze (28mm), no maker, ring top suspension, obverse inscribed 'Junior' above CCC, reverse inscribed 'B.McKernan/1942' (also scratched initials 'B.McK'); Dunedin Harriers, Edmond Challenge Cup, fob medal struck in copper (28mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'B/McKernan/1944'; Edmond Challenge Cup, Otago Centre N.Z.A.A.A., medal struck in bronze (28.75mm), by M&K Ld (Mayer & Kean, Wellington), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'B.McKernan/1945'. Very fine. (3)

Bruce McKernan, a member of the Civil Service Club, was the son of the well-known Empire Games coach, Mr B.R.McKernan.
