NZAAA (NEW ZEALAND AMATEUR ATHLETICS ASSOCIATION, N.Z. Amateur Championship, struck uniface in bronze (41mm), no maker, reverse inscribed '1st/3 Mile/Walk/R.Lamberton/1947.' Very fine.

On the first day of the NZ Amateur Athletics Championship held at Auckland on 28 February 1947 it was reported that the most impressive performance was given by the winner of the Three-mile Walk, R.Lamberton of Fielding, who reduced the existing record by 15 3/5 seconds. Lamberton made it a double when he also won the One-mile Walk with almost the ease of his earlier victory.
