EVELYN WAUGH, famous author, letter dated Dec 28th and the envelope postmarked in Somerset 29 December 1936, handwritten by him in ink it is addressed to Dennis Wheatley Esq, (the address is crossed out and replaced with) '8, St John's Wood Park, N:W:8', the letter has the printed heading, 'Pixton Park, Dulverton', the letter reads, 'Dear Mr Wheatley, Very many thanks for your kind thought in sending me a copy of your new novel. It arrived most opportunely for Christmas. I hope it will have a great success. Yours sincerely, Evelyn Waugh'. The envelope with some tears at top edge, otherwise very fine and scarce.
Dennis Wheatley (1903-66) was an author. His novel, Murder off Miami was published in July 1936 so this is probably the book that he sent to Evelyn Waugh.
