SICILY, Syracuse, (405-375 B.C.), bronze AE hemilitra, (5.01 g), obv. head of Arethusa left, rev. star of sixteen rays, in centre of quartered incuse square, (S.-, cf.SNG ANS 394, Calciati 18, Hoover 1481, HGC 1481 var). Even dark green patina, good very fine and very rare.

Ex Kunker Auktion 376, lot 4376. Previously from the collection of a North German antiques enthusiast. Kunker auction 97, Osnabruck 2005, lot 283, also the Munz Zentrum auction 194, Solingen-Ohligs 2021, lot 50.
