KAATIANN AV KAI-[...] OVHPOC, laureate and draped bust of Lucius Verus right, (Varbanov -). Unpublished in the standard references, nearly very fine, brown surfaces, pitted.

Ex Dr L.J. Sherwin Colection, coming from the CNG eSale 214 (July 15, 2009) (lot 273), coming from the J.P. Righetti Collection, No.8366.^Coins from Callatis with portraits of the Antonines are very rare. Varbanov even doubted the authenticity of the single types he lists for Marcus (Hygeia) and Lucius (Nike).
