MESOPOTAMIA, Carrhae, Caracalla, (AD 198-217), AE 18mm, (3.30 g), obv. laureate head right, rev. veiled and turreted bust of Tyche right, (BMC Arabia pg. 85, 16ff var., SNG Cop. 177ff var) (illustrated); similar Edessa, Elagabalus, (AD 218-222), AE 17mm (3.20 g), obv. laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust left, rev. turreted, veiled, and draped bust of Tyche left, (cf.BMC 72, cf.SNG Cop. 213); a range of AE issues described on packets from Carrhae (2); Edessa (6); Nisibis (2). Generally very good - good fine, several with rough surfaces. (12)
