THE ROYAL VICTORIAN ORDER, Commander (CVO), neck badge, reverse numbered 1636. In Collingwood (Jewellers) Ltd case of issue, metal toned, otherwise good extremely fine.

Together with letter dated 18th May, 1966 from the Secretary of the Royal Victorian Order to Douglas Williams advising that Her Majesty intends to appoint him to be a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order on the occasion of Her Majesty's Birthday. The CVO was officially awarded on 11 June 1966 to Douglas Williams, Asst Secretary, Colonial Office 'For services in connection with the Caribbean Tour.'
