SINGLES: Pacific Star. NX69047 L.B.Wattus.; War Medal 1939-45. N104379 C.Lang.; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. NX9531 T.A.Dean. The first two medals impressed, the last medal appears to be engraved. Three single medals, the first medal without ribbon, very fine - extremely fine.

Leonard Spencer Wattus, labourer, born 21May1920 at Newcastle, NSW; Enl.06Mar1941 at Paddington, Sydney, NSW; served in Middle East and New Guinea; Disch.14Oct1944 as Sapper ex 2/22 Field Park Coy.^Charles Lang, builder, born 08Aug1893 at Taralga, NSW; Enl.17Mar1941 at Moss Vale, NSW; all service within Australia; Disch.20May1943 as Pte ex 13 Garrison Bn, Medically Unfit. ^Thomas Albert Dean, butcher, born 11Aug1911 at Ryde, NSW; Enl.29Dec1939 at Paddington, Sydney, NSW; served in Middle East 10Jan1940 to 28Mar1942 and Darwin Area 18Aug1942 to 24Aug1945; Disch.14Sep1945 as Staff Sgt ex 15 Fd Butchery as Medically Unfit. Entitled to 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Defence Medal 1939-45, War Medal 1939-45 and Australia Service Medal 1939-45. In 1986 Mrs Dean wrote to the Army advising that her husband's medals had been stolen and requested replacement medals. There is no record in the Service File of replacements being issued.
