TRIO: 1939-45 Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. NX140943 J.A.Lawson. All medals impressed. The first ribbon damaged and no ribbons on the second and third medals, all medals with some toning and the last medal with some oxidation on the reverse and edge as well as on the suspender, otherwise very fine.
Also entitled to Pacific Star.^Jack Alwyn Lawson, painter, age 22, born at Newcastle, NSW; Enl.05Oct1942 at Randwick Racecourse, Sydney, NSW, with previous military service N15800 2Aust Inf Bn and N15805 1Aust Fld Regt and with AMF N15805 20Aust Labour Coy; served in New Guinea 24Aug1943 to 17Sep1944; Disch.13Dec1945 as Private with 38 Aust Works Coy; commemorated at the War Memorial Wall at Sandgate Cemetery, Newcastle.
