WWI, TRENCH ART, a flower bowl (height approx 14.5cm), made from a brass shell casing from a standard German field gun, with flared top and sides with engraved patterned floral decoration and around the bottom circular beaded panels, the casing marked on the base, 'St (Strengthened)/Rh M.F. (Rheinische Metallwaren (und Maschinen) Fabrik/DEZ 1916 (December 1916)/Dusseldorf/Sp61' and also at an angle near M.F. is 194. The flared top with some edge bumps, otherwise fine.
