SICILY, Gela, (c.420-405 B.C.), AE trias, AE 17, (3.95 g), obv. bull standing left, head lowered, three pellets in exergue, above **GELAS*, rev. diademed head of river god Gelas to right with horn, (cf.S.1095, Jenkins 504). Attractive dark green toning, very fine/good very fine and very scarce.

With old ticket from a French collector.
