MACEDON, Demetrios I Poliorketes, (306-283 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.79 g), Tarsos Mint, struck c.298-295 B.C., obv. Nike standing to left on prow of galley, blowing trumpet and cradling stylis, rev. below **[B]ASILEWS* and to right **DHMHTRIO[U]*, Poseidon Pelagaios advancing left, brandishing trident, A in left field, monogram in circle to right, (S.6765, Newell 44, SNG Munchen 1039, HGC 3 1016a). Toned, minor die rust, good very fine and very rare.
