JULIUS CAESAR, issue of C. Clovius Praetor, (45 B.C.), AE dupondius, Rome Mint, (12.31 g), obv. winged and draped bust of Victory to right, around traces of CAESAR DICTER before, rev. Minerva advancing left, holding trophy, spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion, snake at feet, traces of C. CLOVI PRAEF around, (S.1417, Cr.476/1a, RPC 601, RSC Julius Caesar 7). Bronze patina, some surface pitting, fine/nearly very fine and scarce.
