QUEENSLAND TEACHERS VOLUNTEER CORPS, trophy with opposing handles on two sides, (approx size 16.5x21cm), in EPNS by F.R.&S (Flavelle, Roberts & Sankey), Brisbane, on one side is an engraved belt on inside is inscribed, `Q'land/Teachers/Vol.Corps/Presented by the/Hon D.H.Dalrymple/Minister/for/Public Instruction', and on the opposite side is another engraved belt and on the inside is inscribed, `A Company/Won by/"Private"/J.Bensted/Sept. 1898'. Toning, otherwise good very fine.

The Queensland Teachers Volunteer Corps was a military unit comprising of teachers in Queensland, Australia. It was formed as a branch of the Queensland Defence Force in 1893. It no longer exists.
