THRACE, (Moesia Inferior), Marcianopolis, Macrinus, (A.D. 217-218), AE 25, (9.398 grams), obv. laureate cuirassed bust of Macrinus to right, around AVT K O**PELLI* CEVH MAKPEINOC, rev. Concordia seated to left with kalathos, holding patera and cornucopiae, around V**P PONTIANOU M ARKIANOPOLEI*, in exergue **TWN*, (S.-, Pick 709 [p.234, Pl.XVIII, 33]). Even black green tone, fine/nearly very fine and rare.
An issue by the Roman Governor with the name of Pontianus.
