THEODOSIUS II, (408-450 AD), gold solidus, (4.44 g), Constantinople Mint, obv. pearl diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing, holding spear and shield, rev. Constantinopolis seated left, holding globus cruciger and sceptre, prow at foot, shield to right resting on throne (S.21158, RIC 257). Extremely fine.
