ITALY, Apulia, Teate, AE quincunx (c.225-200 B.C.), AE 27mm, (16.35 g), obv head of Athena to left, wearing a Corinthian helmet, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, TIATI to left, five pellets (mark of value) below, thunderbolt to right, (S.593, SNG Cop.691, SNG ANS 745, HN 702a, HGC 1, 654). Very fine and very rare.

Ex Spink & Sons, London with ticket (1/80, ?145), bought c.1995 a similar example in CNG Mail bid Sale 60 (May 2002) (lot 42 realised $246).
