ITALY, Lucania, Thurium (Thourioi), (350 -300 B.C.), silver stater or nomos, (7.47 g), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, rev. bull butting to right,tunny fish below in exergue, exergual line, (cf.S.447, SNG ANS 1052 [same dies]). Fine and scarce.
