ARABIA, Sabaeans and Himyarites, (c.3rd Century B.C.), silver drachm, (5.18 g), obv. helmeted head of Athena to right, Figure N on cheek, rev. owl standing right, head facing, olive branch and crescent before, **AQE* to right downwards, (S.6112, SNG ANS 1456, Babelon, Trait? 1114, pl. CXXVI, 9, BMC Arabia pg. 45, 14., SNG ANS 1456). Very fine.

Ex Spink, London c.1995.
The weight is based on a Persian siglos although it is imitating an Athenian drachm.
