BRITISH NORTH BORNEO, The Labuan & Borneo United Opium Farm, share certificate for $2,000, 10th April 1904, issued by Chee Swee Cheng. A few small worm holes and a burn in the upper middle margin, otherwise nearly very fine.
Chee Swee Cheng (1866-1938) was a prominent Peranakan businessman and banker in Singapore and North Borneo, and later the first chairman of the Overseas Chinese Bank Corporation.
