SCOTLAND, Alexander III, (1249-86 AD), second coinage (c.1280-6), silver penny (1.37g), no mint name (Edinburgh), obv. crowned bust left, sceptre before, +ALEXANDER DEI GRA, rev. long cross, four mullets of six points in each angle, +REX SCOTORVM (S.5053). Toned, very fine.
