CALABRIA, Taras (Tarentum), (c.272-35 BC), silver nomos (6.35g), obv. naked rider crowning a horse, prancing left, **LUKI NOS* in two lined between legs, **SU* above, rev. Taras riding a dolphin to left, preparing to throw a trident over head, chlamys over left hand, owl in right field, **TARA* below (cf S.374 Vl.839, HN Italy 1025, cf SNG ANS 1168-9). Attractuve cabinet tone, light golden hues in devices, good extremely fine.
