MACEDON, Mende, (late 5th century B.C.), silver tetrobol, (13mm, 2.00 g, 12h), obv. wreathed head of young Dionysos left, rev. kantharos, MEN**D* AI**W*N around, (S.-, AMNG III/2, 29, HGC 3, 571 [this coin illustrated]). Lightly toned, some surface porosity, very fine and very rare.
