THESSALY, Pelinna, (c.last quarter 5th century B.C.), silver trihemiobol, (1.22 g), obv. Thessalian cavalryman on horse to left, wearing short tunic, holding two long spears, dottted border, rev. Hoplite left, holding two spears and shield, **PE* below AINN right, (S.2165, BMC Thessaly pg. 38, 1, SNG Cop. 185, BCD 514 [Triton XV] [same dies], HGC 4, 466). Toned, granular surface, nearly very fine, very rare.
