BOIOTIA, Boiotian League, Federal Coinage, Thebes, (395-387 B.C.), silver stater, (11.59 g), obv. Boeotian shield, rev. amphora with letters BO I**W* either side, club to left above grape bunch, (cf.S.2395, BCD 20 [Triton IX similar reverse die], Pozzi Auction lot 1449, Myron Hoard Pl.**ST* 1, BMC 44, Head "Boeotia" p.77). Lightly toned, good very fine, slight roughness on obverse and a very scarce variety.
