EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy I Soter, (294-285 BC), silver tetradrachm (12.65g), Alexandria mint, obv. diademed head right, wearing aegis around neck, small **D* behind ear, banker's mark to right, rev. eagle standing left on thunderbolt, wings closed, P above **PU* monogram below, graffito to right of eagle **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU* (CPE 147; cf Svoronos 258-9; SNG Cop 72). Toned, cleaning scratches, nearly very fine.
