KYRENAICA, Kyrene, (c.520-489 B.C.), silver drachm, (3.85 g, Attic standard), obv. two heart-shaped silphium fruits (seed pods?) facing each other (one off flan), two dots between them, rev. heart-shaped silphium fruit (seed pod?) within incuse square, (S.-, SNG Cop.1165, BMC 18). Toned, some surface roughness, nearly very fine and very rare.
