GAIUS (CALIGULA), with Agrippina Senior, (37-41 A.D.), silver denarius, (3.78 g), Lugdunum (Lyon) Mint, struck in 40 A.D. obv. around C CAESAR AVG PON M TR POT III COS III, laureate head of Gaius (Caligula) to right, rev. draped bust of Agrippina I right, hair in a plait behind head, around AGRIPPINA MA[T C CAE]S AVG GERM, (S.1825, RIC 8, RSC 2, BMC 8). Attractively toned with good portraits, minor surface porosity, very fine and very rare.
