NERO, (A.D. 54-68), AE quadrans, Rome Mint, issued AD 64-65, obv. NERO CLA CAE AVG GER, owl standing facing, wings spread, on garlanded rectangular altar, rev. P M [TR P] IMP P P, upright olive branch, S C across fields, mark of value below tree, (S.1985, RIC 259, WCN 352). Attractive brown patina, struck slightly off centre on reverse, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
