SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius (3.31g), Rome mint, issued 200 AD, obv. laureate bust facing right, SEVERVS AVG PART MAX, rev. Victory flying left, holding an open wreath with both hands over a round shielf set on a base, P M TR VIII COS II [P P] (S.6333; RIC IV 150; RSC 454). Reverse slightly offcentre, extremely fine.

Ex S.J. Green Collection, purchased from Heritage Auctions 231622 (lot 61043). Previously in a slab by NGC as Ch XF (certificate number 4247654-006).
