SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius (3.14g), Rome mint, issued 204 AD, obv. laureate bust right, SEVERVS PIVS AVG around, rev. Victory advancing left, holding a wreath in right hand and palm frond over left shoulder, VICT PART MAX around (S.6372; RIC IV 295; RSC 744). Toned, lustre on obverse, nearly extremely fine.

Ex S.J. Green Collection, purchased from Noble Numismatics Sale 124 (3313 part). Previously ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection.
