DIAMOND HORSESHOE BRACELET/BANGLE, 1889, in gold (15ct; 15.08g; 62x55mm), attributed to Hardy Brothers, features a three thin bar bracelet/bangle and at the top centre is a horseshoe decorated with nine small claw set diamonds, press clasp opener with loop provision for safety chain (chain missing), in fitted case by Hardy Brothers and handwritten card, "Bong Bong 1889/Hack Race/1st Prize/Kate Kearney". Good very fine.

Australian Jewellers, p71.^Bong Bong Picnic Races is held annually at Bowral, NSW. The above item was won by Messrs A.G. & R.Gibson's jockey, Kate Kearney, for the Hack Race in 1889.
