OSWALD WATT MEMORIAL GOLD MEDAL, in gilt bronze (56mm), by K.G.L(uke), for the most notable contribution to aviation by an Australia, awarded to G.A. (Peter) Lloyd AC MBE MiD, 2016, in original presentation box. Extremely fine.
Peter Lloyd had previously been awarded the same medal in 1969, and is one of only three Australians to have received the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) gold medal.^^The 2016 medal was awarded for his unabated enthusiam for air safety and his contributions to Safeskies, and his youthful energy towards the betterment of the aviation industry despite no longer flying.
