MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336 - 323 BC), bronze half unit, (3.71 g), Salamis mint, struck under Nikokreon c.323-315 BC, obv. Macedonian shield with Gorgoneion in centre, rev. Macedonian helmet, B-A above, caduceus below to left and NK monogram to right (Price 3162). Dark green patina with earthy highlights in devices, good very fine.
