MACEDON, Roman Protectorate, First Meris, (167 - 148 BC), silver tetradrachm, (16.70 g), obv. diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder, in tondo of Macedonian shield, rev. club of Heracles right, MAKE**D*ON*W*N *PRWTHS* above and below, **S*HATP monogram above, TKP AND MYW**W*T monograms below, all within wreath with thunderbolt in left field (HGC 3 1103, SNG Ashmolean 3299, SNG Cop 1315). Very fine.
