THE BANK OF VAN DIEMENS LAND, Hobart Town, cheque dated 27 April 1835, fifteen pounds, signed James Kelly. Very fine.

Ex Downies Auctions lot 2969.^James Kelly 1791-1859, born in Parramatta and was the first Australian born master mariner. He circumnavigated Van Diemens Land in 1815/16.
