SYRIA, Kingdom of, Demetrius II, second reign, (129-125 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.62 grams), Antioch mint, issued 129-128 B.C., obv. diademed and bearded head of Demetrius II to right, filleted border, rev. Zeus seated left on throne, holding Nike and sceptre, on right, **BASILEWS DHMHTRIOU* and to left QEOU NIKATOPOS*, under throne **D*, **[X]* to left, (cf.S.7102, ACNAC Houghton 286 [this coin], Newell 321, BMC 18, BN 1181). Holed and plugged, otherwise good fine and rare.
