LEO I, (A.D. 457-474), gold solidus, Constantinople mint, issued A.D. 462 or 466 (4.31 grams), obv. helmeted and cuirassed facing bust of Leo, around D N LEO PE RPET AVG, rev. VICTORI A AVGGGB, Victory standing left holding long cross, star in right field, CONOB in exergue, (S.4333, RIC 605, LRBC 517). Large flan, light obverse scratch, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
