Q. MARCIUS PHILIPPUS, (129 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.920 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head right, * behind, rev. Macedonian horseman to right, Q.PILIP[VS] below, [ROMA] in exergue, (S.135 £60 VF], Cr.259/1, Syd.477). Off centred on the reverse, otherwise good very fine and scarce.

The coin refers to Q. Marcius Philippus who campaigned against Perseus in 169 B.C. who had previously been sent as an ambassador to Philip V.
